For each 3 pts of STR over 10, add 1 DR vs crushing, non bullet attacks, up to STR 20;then it is +1/10 pts of STR. For each 5 pts of STR over 10, add 1 DR vs cutting attacks, up to STR 20, then +1 per 10. (So at STR 16, you have +2 DR vs Crushing and +1 DR vs. cutting) The numbers are low enough that they should not be unbalancing, but make buying high STR more cost-effective, esp. if you're charging 10/25 for +1/+2 DR as Toughness. This is a cinematic option;it is designed to simulate nekkid barbarians who walk out of swordfights covered with knicks instead of gaping wounds, and who do the "Punch me. As hard as you can. Hah! I feel nothing!" shtick. Since it doesn't apply vs. bullets, it also permits opponents of said Hulking Barbarians to perform an 'Indiana Jones' manuever. You know the one I mean.
