The base cost of this advantage allows the character to voluntarily cause all characters within 20 feet (or longer distances if they can see the character clearly or if the character is an immediate threat at the GM's option) to make a fright check. Each additional level gives -1 to the fright check. The character's companions will be just as frightened as the character's foes, but they get +4 to their fright check rolls since they know what to expect. The GM can also rule that they have become familiar with the character's appearance after a time and no longer need to make fright checks. The value of this disadvantage is balanced by the fact that almost any character who is capable of causing fright checks with this advantage must take the Bad Reputation: Supernatural Horror and/or Hideous Appearance.
