FANTASY ADVENTURE SEEDS FOR G.U.R.P.S. v.1.0 (Gurps is a trademark of Steve Jackson Game) Copyright (c) 1996 by Silver Dagger Introduction: Sometime I find it a pain in the rear to come up with adventure ideas of the top of my head. So I threw to gether some generic adventure that can can be used with any Fantasy campaign. This first collection is Adventure seeds for fantasy campaigns if you like it I will create more, if you want to send me some of your own ideas e-mail me at : silver@newportnet.com Any ideas sent to me I will put in the next write up. ________________________________________________________________________ (1) SETTING: The setting in in the spring, of your favorite fantasy world. It is the time when snow thaws, and merchants go about the trading of their wares. In this setting a particularly crooked merchant has sold the village some foul seed to plant their crops with, and then fled to a neighboring village. PLOT: The plot is simple, the characters must somehow find a way to capture this merchant and bring him back to the village to either make ammends or face trial. TWIST: Unbeknownest to the characters, the Merchant is a mage who is a lot harder to take, and not so willing to go. CHARACTER GOAL: The characters goal is to bring the Merchant back to the town within 3 days. SO that the village can at least get back their money to purchase new seed before the planting season ends. ________________________________________________________________________ (2) SETTING: The season is late fall, a conquering army appraches rapidly from the north. The army's goal is to capture a sacred idol hid well in the temple, across the plains. The idol in their possession could mean disaster for the characters country. PLOT: The Characters must somehow retrieve the idol, and carry it across the mountains, to the main temple. TWIST: One of the NPC's in the story who is well trusted works for the enemy force, and is willing to sacrifice friendship to stop the party at all costs. CHARACTER GOAL: The characters must survive the plains, Winter weather, untold Creatures, and battle the loss of trust and friendship to save the idol. ________________________________________________________________________ (3) SETTING: The party is visiting a foreign town where an important noble has been assasinated. The town officials are pointing fingers as the Party. PLOT: The lot is against the party as it is ordered to capture the party for execution for killing a Noble Lord. CHARACTER GOAL: The party must find the real killer to clear themselves of the charges. ________________________________________________________________________ (4) SETTING: The party is sitting comfortable in a local tavern when the towns folk begin to stir an panic..A student a the mages guild has unfortunatley opened a forbidden book and as a result a portal outside the guild has opened spewing forth all manner of undead creatures. CHARACTER GOAL: The characters must wade thru the creatures.. and lay claim to the cursed book, hopefully before the town is in riuns..they must also destroy the book. ________________________________________________________________________ These are just a few seeds, e-mail me if you want more or would like to add to the list.
