FANTASY ADVENTURE SEEDS FOR G.U.R.P.S. v.1.1 (Gurps is a trademark of Steve Jackson Game) Introduction: Well here it is! I recieved various e-mail responses for a new list of Adventure seeds. So in this one I am presenting several new seeds for G.U.R.P.S fantasy campaigns. Silver Dagger (silver@newportnet.com) ______________________________________________________________________________ (1) SETTING: The characters are travelling thru distant and foreign lands. The world about them, the language, the customs are strange, and in some cases down right backwards. PLOT: The party is captured by a slave Caravan..Each member seperated from the other. They are to be sold at an auction TWIST: The players are each sold to a differant LORD of the city they are taken to to be players in a VERY deadly game of human battle chess. CHARACTER GOAL: The character goal is to survive the chess game, and free the other slaves of the game and escape across the borders of the lands. ___________________________________________________________________________ (2) SETTING: It is Fall... The time of the Great Harvest Festival...But rumours of a large dragon raiding village crops has spread across the land. PLOT: The Characters are at the festival, when it is interupted by the roars of an inhuman beast. The festival turns to a night of horror as the dragon destroys most everything and makes off with one of the village maidens. (classic Huh?) TWIST: The Dragon is rotected by a group of Cultists who plan on using the maiden as a sacrifice to the great serpant god. CHARACTER GOAL: The characters must find the Dragon's lair, fight the cultists and save the girl. ____________________________________________________________________________ (3) SETTING: The lands are ravaged by war! villages dust, cities have fallen! Those that choose to survive fight! PLOT: The characters are hired as mercanaries to infaltrate enemy lines and capture the apposing arm's Master Mage. TWIST: With a Mage anything can Happen!!!! CHARACTER GOAL: To Infiltrate enemy lines, and bring back the mage alive! ______________________________________________________________________________ (4) SETTING: The characters are travelling a long and dusty road, perhaps on the way home, or perhaps because they seek adeventure. The journey is short lived, as they come across a glowing orb hovering in the middle of the road. PLOT: The orb when touched creates a flash of light that engulf everyone, trapping them into a time portal. Twist: The time portal takes them back to the time where the characters are placed in the guise of heroes from a far and distant past.. forced to relive a historical event (War, Dragon slaying, the usurping of an evil tyrant) CHARACTER GOAL: to survive the event, only to return and realize it was they that took part in thier worlds history.
