He had tremendous potential with the sword, but that wasn't why the master agreed to train him. He accepted Kuno because Kuno could sense the spirits around him, and was dedicated to removing those that were evil from this plane of existance. Unfortunately for the old man, as Kuno got better with the sword, he also got more arrogant. True, few could equal his ability, but then, few matched his humble braggings. Everything Kuno did was done "humbly." After all, a true master would never look down upon those less proficient than himself simply because they hadn't been gifted with his great abundance of talent. After his sensei's death, he moved to the US, where he operates a dojo in the international district of Seattle. His sensei, knowing of his "protogee"'s lack of common sense, and feeling responsible for it, remained on this world in the form of a spirit advisor who will, hopefully, be able to calm Kuno down. Action: Having been told oby his sensei of a great evil residing in Seattle, he agreed to help the rest of the party by "most humbly giving his most honorable and able assistance to you by assisting in the destruction of the spirits which are plaguing this fair city." Needless to say, this did not go over well with all the members of the party. One of the members insulted him, and, in a fit of rage, Kuno challenged him to a duel, most humbly giving the choice of weapons to his opponent. They chose chess. He won. Of course, he was most gracious in his triumph, "hoping that this sort of unpleasentness will never again creep up between up." They were a touch more reserved. In the first battle he was involved in, he attacked three gun wielding guards in Kevlar. He hit one in the groin, and the guard was possessed by a friendly spirit. He made several attempts (7-8) to slice through the second guard's neck, and failed long enough for that guard to be possessed. Next, he ran 12 hexes to the third guard, while under fire, and, when he got right up next to the guy, took 28pts of damage to his head. He survived. He passed out, but he survived 6 Health rolls in a row (he'd taken a bit of damage before this.) He spent the rest of the adventure out cold, recuperating. Personality: If you recognized the name right off, you know how he acts. If not, look at his last three disads, and you can probably guess. He is overbearing, obnoxious, arrogant, twisted, and mostly psycho, he talks in capital letters, he's going to get killed by his teammates first chance he gets, and he's the most fun character I've ever played.
