The Cobra is a modular system of interchangeable parts built around a TL9 256Kj Rainbow laser. The standard configurations include a pistol, SMG, carbine, rifle and Sniper rifle. A power-pack is required for all versions, typically two D-cells or an E-cell (84/D or 843/E). Due to the weight of the system, it is normally only used with Powered Body Armor (PBA) or light Battlesuits.
