BLOODKNOCK BALLISTIC INDUSTRIES. Copyright (c) 1996 by Psibersonic All the following weapons have a verifiable malfunction, a short range remote interface for passing HUD's data to cybereyes, helmet visor, etc, a tuneable laser sight, neural interface capacity, and a self diagnostic system that gives +2 on all repair rolls. Stats listed for snapshot and accuracy are based on HUD's and Laser sights being used.Add 5 to listed snapshot if HUD's is not being used. Add 6 to listed snapshot, and reduce accuracy by 2 if a Laser sight is not being used. With the exception of the Micro-Howitzer, listed recoil is for one handed use, lower the recoil penalty by 1 if used with both hands. Optionally recoil may also be lowered by 1 for every 5 ST over Min ST. Min ST is +3 in zero or microgravity. Listed weights are for loaded weapons. 10mm Holdout Pistol(.40), 1 lb, $200. 2d+2 + 1/2 after DR, ss0, Acc 5, 1/2D 200, Max 1350, Rof 3~, Rcl -2, Shots 12 ($8/clip, .3 lb), Min ST 9. 12mm Machine Pistol(.50), 4 lbs, $500. 4d + 1/2 after DR, SS 0, Acc 8, 1/2D 250, Max 1600, Rof 8*, Rcl -2, Shots 24 ($15/clip, 1 lb), Min ST 11. 18mm Hand Cannon(.75), 4 lbs, $500. 6d + 1/2 after DR, SS 0, Acc 12, 1/2D 350, Max 2000, Rof 3~, Rcl -3, Shots 18 ($15/clip, 1 lb), Min ST 12 18mm SMG(.75), 8 lbs, $1000. 6d + 1/2 after DR, SS 0, Acc 12, 1/2D 450, Max 2000, Rof 16*, Rcl -2, Shots 36+36 ($30/clip, 2 lbs), Min ST 10. 25mm Beltfed Shotgun, 7 lbs, $1000. 5 * 1d+2 (roll separately vs DR.), SS 0, Acc 12, 1/2D 25, Max 50, Rof 4*, Rcl -3, Shots 36/yard of belt ($25, 2.5 lbs), Min ST 12. Listed damage is for shot, solid slugs do 3d*5, 1/2D is 75, Max is 150, and are -2 to skill if you go by the book. >Three times the damage of a current shotgun seems excessive. A current shotgun firing solid slugs averages between 8d and 10d,so no i don't think it's excessive. 40mm Micro Howitzer, 20 lbs, $5000. 3d*10, SS 6, Acc 20, 1/2D 2000, Max 5000, Rof 4*, Rcl -1, Shots 20+20 ($100/clip, 5 lbs), Min ST 12. Listed snapshot and recoiled apply only if the integral articulated harness is being used, if held in hands only, double snapshot, and quadruple recoil penalty. > Where is the difference between this and a grenade launcher? And > the ammo capacity is enormous compared to the GL. Well, i percive this weapon as having a flatter tragectory than a grenade launcher, though it's still capable of indirect fire. As for ammo capacity i think i got confused, replace 40+40 shots with 20+20. See end of text for a grenade launcher from the same background. Ammunition comes in fat pre-fractured blocks of caseless propelant, each round is stripped off the block by the firing mechanism as required, thus there is never a round under the hammer. Firing in a vaccum is not a problem, the propelant contains all the nesseccary chemicals needed for combustion. The Beltfed Shotgun's ammo includes a hinge in its structure, hence there is no actual belt, just a string of interlocked caseless rounds. Exotic Ammunition. Explosive Rounds.$*2, DR*2, damage that gets past DR is * 5 instead of + 1/2, double damage for knockback calculation. Ramjet Rounds. $*3, DR/2, damage and ranges are +50 % as long as the round gets past the ramjet ignition point, nominally 2 yds from muzzel tip. SMART Ramjets cost twice as much again and ignore range penalties. Unfortunatly they are somewhat less reliable than ordinary ammunition, Malf is lowered to 17, and a 17 is also allways a Critical Failure Rubber Bullets. DR*3, -1d damage per ricochet, use 9 or less to hit with ricochets. Halve damage for knockback calaulation. Popular in space unless you don't care about atmospheric integrity. SPLAT Rounds (Super Plastic Lead Armor peircing Tipped). $*3, DR/2, damage that gets past DR is * 3 instead of + 1/2. Gauss Grenade Launcher, 10 lbs, $5000. Damage as per grenade type. SS 0, Acc 12, Max 6000, Rof 4*, Shots 5+5 (5 lbs) or see A.F.A.P. Auto Feed Ammo Pack, 20 lbs, $1000. This back pack holds 40 half pound grenades in 8 separate magazines. Grenade selection is via cyberlink or voice recognition, and is also programable, allowing one person to provide a wide range of support fire for a combat group. However it is considered very unlucky to be shot in the back whilst wearing one.
