However God answered the peoples prayers though not in the way they expected. That year the snows came early. The blessed Agnes was one of those caught in the snow as she traveled to Pepperford. Darkness was descending when she stumbled across the child. The baby suffering as it was from the plague had been abbandon here by its parents lest before it died it infected them. The blessed saint quickly picked the barely liveing babe up and wrapped it in her cloak. then headed with renewed determination toward what she hoped was pepperford. Miraculously she did not break her neck as she stumbled through the snow but it was the next morning before she arrived safely bearing a prefectly healthy child. The cloak resting as it does now in St Agnes Church Pepperford uses the following spells. Cure Disease, Healing Slumber,Warm, Soilproof. The effects are miraculous normal chances of failure being replaced by the limitation "subject must not have offended God". In my Campaign the child grew into an important wyccan leader. Hence the cloak still languishes in a small rural church. Indeed if the child status had been known at the time it is unlikely that Agnes would have been Beatified. [It depends on what you mean. Beatification is the middle of three steps the Catholic Church goes thru in recognizing a saint, the first of whhich is veneration and the last of which is canonization. Editor.] An encounter with the ghost of the mother looking for the child. Might be interesting. Hmm a chance to see if my players remember the cloak and its origin.
