When a powerstone is used it automatically discharges its entire payload into the spell it is powering. (Mage stares horrified at totally discharged 100 pt stone as town guard laughs hysterically at his 50 hex radius illusion of the archprelate). Nice for fighters who want a bit of chaos amongst the magi. 2-edged sword however for a party or if the mage was just casting a fast-fired essential flame at you.
