Power Sink Enchantment Power Sink allows for the creation of stationary batteries of magical power, such as sites like Stonehenge and other Places of Mystery. The Power Sink must be built on a node where two or more ley lines meet. Usually from 1-12 stones will make up the circle (although other constructions like fountains, caerns, temples, etc. can be used as well). The Power Sink can contain a total power not to exceed its total weight in pounds/10. Thus a collection of 6 10-ton stones could have a total power of 2000 available. The process to create a Power Sink is very similar to that used to create a Powerstone of Talisman. Each casting of the spell will empower the Power Sink with 10 points of Power. Like Powerstones, power Sinks are susceptible to becoming 'quirked' by failure's during casting. Unlike with a Powerstone a Critical failure does not result in the destruction of the Power Sink, rather it tends to have far more spectacular results, such as weakening the boundaries between universes and opening gates that let nasty things in, awakening Elder Thingies. Since the Power Sink is built at a nexus of leys, the bad effects are not limited to the node itself, but rather can travel for miles along the leys before manifesting. Power Sinks are incredibly valuable to mages, and tend to have the resulting reputations for being haunted and evil. Power Sinks recharge at the normal rate for the local mana level, with an additional +1 point per day for every ley line that feeds into the node. Energy Cost For Each Casting: 200 Prerequisites: Powerstone or Talisman and Sense Ley Scrying Crystal Enchantment Used in the Crystal Gazing Divination in place of a Crystal Ball. Usually a piece of quartz or other faceted stone ranging from 2"-6" in length. Gives a +1 bonus to divinations, communication and knowledge spells where appropriate. Energy Cost to Create: 500 Prerequisite: Enchant, any 3 of divination, communication or knowledge spells Talisman Enchantment An alternative to the Powerstone. Like Powerstone, Talisman allows for the enchantment of an object to serve as a portable battery for Fatigue. Unlike Powerstone, the mage isn't limited to just enchanting precious or semi-precious stones. Using Talisman, the mage can enchant any sort of personal item to serve as a power battery. This allows for the creation of items such as fetish bags, sacred amulets, enchanted sunglasses, magic teddy bears and mystic ATM cards, among others. As with Powerstone, each casting of Talisman empowers the item with 1 point of power. Cost for materials is far less expensive than for Powerstones, usually ranging about $10 per point of power invested in the Talisman. Maximum power for an item is equal to the weight of the object x 10. All other rules that apply to Powerstones apply to Talismans. Energy Cost For Each Casting: 20 Prerequisite: Enchant
