Tech-Aspected Magery 13/8/8 Copyright 1996 by THERIAULT STEPHANE This magery is halfway between normal Magery and One-College Magery. You can learn and use any spell of the Tech college (including the Energy, Radiation and Metal and Plastic sub-colleges) in the normal way. You can learn any other spells you want. However, your body is only attuned to machines, so you cannot use your inner fatigue to power them. You must use other sources of power (via the Draw Power spell). This source can be batteries or power generators, but no natural sources are permitted. This limitation led to many interesting situations, where for example you can draw power from a building only one time - before the breakers break and cut all sources of power !! New Tech Spell : Recharge\TL (VH) Regular This spell allows the caster to steal power from a power source to recharge a battery cell. Cost: 2 for each point of fatigue given to the cell. Can of course be combined with Draw Power to reduce this. Time to cast: 5 seconds per point of fatigue given to the cell. Prerequisites: Lend Power and Conduct Power Items: (a) Staff, wand of jewelry. Usable only by a mage. The mage and the item must both touch the source and the cell. Energy cost to create: 1000. (b) Any power cell can be made so that it will immediately start to recharge the moment it is in contact with a power source. It will draw at as much energy as it can, as fast as it can. Energy cost to create: 20 for an A cell, 100 for a B cell, 500 for a C cell, 1000 for a D cell, and 2000 for an E cell.
