Option for fantasy mecha(by Mika Peltola ) -Mecha scale lances: Calculate weight modifier using mechas Arm ST and scale-up lance normally, but for damage use standard lance rules from Basic set (p.136), instead horse ST use mechas Body ST (with quite devastating results if you have fast mecha, and for high-tech lances adding vibroblade option in lance might prove worthwhile.) -Enchantments on mecha scale melee weapons: simple multiply enchantments energy cost with weight modifier, For example 12x Thrusting Broadsword with Puissance +2 and Accuracy +1 would have total energy cost of 15000 (points of mana and mage-work-hours, or bit over five years of works with 8h per day); of enchantmens themselves; Puissance and any other diretly damaging enchantment scales- up normally (calculate the bonus differently and add it to the final damage.) -Enchantments on mecha scale shields: Multiply enchantments energy cost with (shield area/25) This one is purely optional (use it if if you like it, it may change game balance a bit): -Mana engine as powerstone recharger: If mecha has mana-engine with some excess power and has a powerstone installed (any type is fine, but it must be integral to mechas design, and personally I would prefer use of dedicated or exclusive powerstones, because they are highly efficient for their limited use.) If both requirements are met then powerstone will gain extra points of fatique at rate of 1 fatique per 3600kW of excess power per turn, but because situtation like this is unlikely (due the weight of mana engine at any TL), the alternate formula is 1 fatique per (3600sec./Excess kW), So a Mana engine with 5kW excess power charges powerstone at rate of 1 fatique per 12 minutes. NOTE: The real problem with this is that, because the powerstones charge naturally very slowly (the example mana-engine charger is 120 times more efficient than normal powerstone in normal mana area, and mana-engine do not seem to be effected by the varying mana levels...), this would propably lead to some kind of "industrial magic"...(Hmm. magical renaissance.)
