APOCALYPT "And I beheld, and heard and angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth...". [Revelation 9.13] "And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all". [Revelation 18.21] The Apocalypts believe that the time has come for the end of the world, and that it is now the duty of God's servants to end it. They do not hope for a world after the Apocalypse. The departure of God is sufficient proof that this will not happen. REQUIRED ADVANTAGES: ST+2 becomes ST+4 (25 pts). 20 points of combat skills (20 pts). Total: 45 pts. REQUIRED DISADVANTAGES: Either Bezerk or Bloodlust. CELESTIAL APOCALYPT Celestial Apocalypts tend to be grim, dour creatures. Nothing really matters to them anymore other than the performance of their duty to end things. They prize duty in humans, and despise betrayal of duty. However, although good humans are to be encouraged and bad one's discouraged, they need not be rewarded or punished per se. The time for all that sort of thing is past. They often choose to destroy the bad first, but will not deliberately go out of their way to "spare" the good. There isn't any point. Stereo-Types Infernal Apocalypts: Most Angels find it scandalous that we co-operate with our Infernal counter-parts with the ease and willingness that we do. This sort of attitude is long outdated. The manner of our Infernals may not be particularly wonderful, but what does that really matter now? They do their job. Bachae: The music has stopped and the party is over. To keep dancing is just to make a fool of yourself. Bhoddidsatva: Knowingly or not, they prepare humans for the end. That's quite an honourable task for Angels to involve themselves in. Children of the Crucible: Some fire may purify, it is true. What the Children must learn is that enough fire will burn. There will be more than enough fire. Fury: They are an inevitable sign of the times. They do what they must, and through their destructive acts, help to bring about the end. Justicar: The same fate awaits everyone. That may not seem fair, but it hardly helps to stick your head in the sand. Lamenter: Gentle souls. Let them weep - they have reason enough. Narcissite: That isn't the way that entropy runs, dolts. Mammonite: Vanity. All is vanity. Muse: If all their bustle helps them to distract themselves, let them. All that activity only helps things to shake apart anyway. Reaper: They have glimpsed the truth, but only glimpsed it. All must be level, but all will be leveled by laying waste. Tiamatic: They refuse to open their eyes enough to realize that they do our work for us! INFERNAL APOCALYPT Infernal Apocalypts are crazy, scary bastards. The time has come for the universe to be smashed to pieces and they love doing it! Infernal Apocalypts love spectacle, and are famously unafraid of death or harm. We're all going to be dead tomorrow anyway, so why not go out with a bang? Stereo-Types Celestial Apocalypt: Watching the Celestial Apocalypts go to work is half the fun. Far from being party-poopers, they bring the party with them! Shame they can't join in the fun though. Bachae: It is the nature of parties to either die or get out of hand. Either of those will do. Bhoddidsatva: Why go gentle into that good night? What are they saving themselves for? It's time to have fun like there's no tomorrow! There isn't! Children of the Crucible: If no-one ever builds houses of cards, how could we have the enjoyment of blowing them down? Fury: Cool. These guys have style. Justicar: Presumptuous, arrogant twits! We're all about to get our just deserts without any help from them! Lamenter: Cry-baby! Cry-baby! Nyah!-Nyah!-Nyaaaah! Narcissite: Fools. They are in for a nasty surprise! Mammonite: You guys just keep settin' 'em up, and we'll keep knocken' 'em down! Does the name "Sisyphus" mean anything to you? Muse: Like it or not, everything that they inspire a human to do helps our cause in the end. Reaper: That's not reaping. I'll show them reaping! Tiamatic: Brothers. I like Tiamatics all the more for not having a clue. They are what you would call a force of nature.
