Jet Trainer v1.0 (TL 08)

        This jet was build as trainer or possibly as a COIN (COunterINsurgency)
    aircraft. It is not comparable to frontline fighters, but it is definitely
    a hot flyer - for less than $3 million.
        The jet has six hardpoints (the stats assume 100-lbs. exercise bombs)
    and a targeting system with a 60-mile radar, a laser, a camera and a HUD.
    Countermeasures are chaff, flares, laser sensors and weak IR suppression.
        The fighter is a TL08 Vehicle [Oct. 95 errata sheet].
    
    Structure:  300 cf standard extra-heavy body (HT 900), max. load 13.5 tons,
        superior streamlining, seal, three retractable wheels (DR 2, HT 50/100)
        and combat-stressed high-agility wings (HT 450).
    Propulsion:  Two 5,000-lbs. variable-bypass turbojets with afterburners and
        2D vectored thrust (DR 5, HT 60 each) with 300 gallons jet fuel (self-
        sealing, DR 5, HT 100, fire on 10) for 3h and a refueling probe.
    Power:  100 KW from the turbojets. 90 KW excess power.
    Accomodations:  Two normal seats, few armored windows (DR 20).
    Armor:  160 points expensive armor, F4/20 B4/20 R4/20 L4/20 T4/20 U4/20
        RW4/20 LW4/20.
    Cargo:  None, but 16.95 cf maintenance access.
    Accessories:  17 dischargers, ejection seats, compact fire extinguisher, G-
        seats, basic IR cloaking, laser sensors, 2*6h limited lifesystem, radar
        locator, medium missile-guidance air-search radar (scan 23/17, DR 3, HT
        10, electronics), ALLTV (+5, DR 3, HT 4, electronics), two HUDWACs,
        laser rangefinder with designator mode, two minicomps (C3, DR 3, HT 4,
        electronics), dual controls, two GPS, two secure tactical radios, two
        IFF, terrain-following radar. Programs: Datalink, routine vehicle
        operation (skill 12).
    Weaponry:  Six hardpoints.
    
    Statistics:  Cost $2,733,750, design mass 6.5 tons, max. payload 7 tons,
        maximum hardpoint load 7 tons, current load 0.5 tons, loaded mass 7
        tons, size modifier +4, radar signature +5, IR signature +5 (+8 on
        afterburner), acoustic signature +6 (+8 on the ground).
