        This jet fills the jobs currently done with a C-130 Hercules or a C-160
    Transall. It carries and/or air-drops people and cargo within the theater.
        The typical payload are 60 soldiers (perhaps two platoons) or a dozen
    tons of cargo. Without refueling, this can be carried 2,000 miles. The jet
    has basic ECM (stealth, IR cloaking and decoys) and passive sensors, LLTVs
    and thermographs (nominal range 4 miles). A radar (40 miles) and mil-spec
    commo/nav gear complete the electronics. The aircraft can operate from gras
    strips and a skyhook catcher was included in case no strips are available.
        The aircraft is a TL08 vehicle [Mar. 96 errata sheet].
    
    Structure:  4,000 cf expensive light body (HT 2,000), max. load 50 tons,
        good streamlining, sealed body, ten retractable wheels with off-road
        and improved suspension (DR 2, HT 34/67), STOL wings with canards (HT
        1,000), advanced controls.
    Propulsion:  Two 5-ton VB turbojets with 2D vectored thrust in engine pods
        (DR 8, HT 100) with two 500-gallon wing tanks (self-sealing, fire on
        10) for five hours and a refueling probe.
    Power:  200 KW from the engines. Excess power 190 KW.
    Accomodations:  Four normal and sixty cramped seats, few windows.
    Crew Requirements:  Pilot, co-pilot, navigator and cargo master.
    Armor:  120 points expensive armor, F4/15 B4/15 R4/15 L4/15 T4/15 U4/15
        RW4/15 LW4/15.
    Cargo:  1,200 cf (and 398.9 cf access space).
    Accessories:  Twenty dischargers (in the pods), compact fire extinguisher,
        basic IR cloaking, laser sensors, 64*12 hours limited lifesystem, radar
        locator, partial stealth, medium thermograph (scan 18, DR 3, HT 4,
        electronics), medium radar with rangefinder (scan 22, DR 3, HT 10,
        electronics), two LLTVs (+4), two HUDWACs with virtual panorama, cargo
        ramp, three microframes (C4, DR 3, HT 12, electronics), dual controls,
        INS (DR 3, HT 6, electronics), GPS, three secure long-distance radios
        (DR 3, HT 4, electronics), three IFF, two spotlights (DR 5, HT 2,
        exposed equipment), skyhook catcher, terrain-following radar, two
        lasercoms, two winches (DR 5, HT 15, equipment). Programs: Database (64
        GB recognition guides and maps), datalink, sensor operation (C4, skill
        15 or +4), tactical vehicle operation (C4, skill 14).
