        This aircraft is little more than a powered hangglider, and barely more
    expensive. The open cockpit seats the pilot and one passenger next to each
    other. In the rear, the pusher engine and fuel tank are easily accessible.
    In front of the pilot, the dashboard holds a marginal electronics package:
    radio, GPS and a computerized map. The structure of the ultralight consists
    mostly of tubes and wire, but it is moderately sturdy. An important safety
    feature is the build-in parachute that supports the entire aircraft in the
    case of a catastrophic failure.
        Technically the aircraft requires a hard surface, but a well-maintained
    gravel strip should qualify.
        The payload assumes two people with little or no luggage and 36 pounds
    of fuel.
        The ultralight is a TL08 vehicle [2nd edition, Nov. 1996 errata].
        
    Subassemblies:  Body, two STOL wings and three small wheels.
    Propulsion:  40 KW aerial propeller providing 140 lbs. thrust.
    Instruments and Electronics:  Short-range radio (Bo, HP 1, 10 miles), GPS
        (Bo, HP 1) and small dedicated computer (Bo, C2, HP 1) with datalink
        and 0.1 GB local map database.
    Misc. Component:  Vehicular parachute (Bo, HP 3, rated 800 lbs.).
    Controls:  Mechanical. Crew Station:  "Pilot" runs everything.
    Occupancy:  Short. Passengers:  One. Crew:  One. Accomodations:  An exposed
        cramped crew station and an exposed cramped seat.
    Power:  40 KW turbocharged ceramic engine (HP 9) burning 1.2 gallons fuel
        per hour. Six gallon tank (HP 6, fire -2). Usually six gallons diesel
        (fire 7) for five hours. 250 KWs advanced battery (HP 1).
    Space:  1.8 cf engine access, 5.14 cf waste space, 3+3 cf waste space in
        wings.
    Volume:  Body 30 cf, wheels 1.5 cf, wings 3 cf each.
    Area:  Body 60, wheels 8, wings 26 each, total area 120.
    Structure:  Cheap extra-light.
    Hit Points:  Body 23, wheels 2 each, wings 10 each.
    Armor:  DR 3 expensive, open metal frame.
    Statistics:  Empty weight 375 lbs., usual payload 325 lbs., loaded weight
