The flyer has a radar (nominal range 40 miles) and an ALLTV, but like all electronics they are not vital for the safe operation of the aircraft. With a load of hydrox (produced in solar water-splitting facilities) it can fly 2,052 miles, that gives 2.28 mpg. The flyer is a TL10 vehicle [Dec. 93 errata sheet]. Structure: 600 cf standard medium body (HT 750), max. load 12 tons, very good streamlining, three retractable skids (DR 10, HT 84) and a vertol lift system. Propulsion: Three 5t hyperfans (DR 5, HT 50) with 900 gallons hydrox (DR 5, HT 175, fire on 11) for 3 hours. Power: 300 KW from the hyperfans, 299.5 KW excess power. Accomodations: Two normal and four cramped seats, many windows. Crew Requirements: Pilot (or computer control). Armor: 300 points expensive armor, F6/50 B6/50 R6/50 L6/50 T6/50 U6/50. Cargo: None, but 79.3 cf access space could be used for personal gear.
