15cm sIG auf PzKpfw 38(t) Ausf. M 'Grille' (Sd. Kfz. 138/1) Copyright (C) 1996 by James Lowry (jlowry@tfb.com). Simultaneously with the Grille H, a new chassis was developed to carry the gun more efficently. The Ausf. M moved the engine to the middle of the vehicle so the gun and fighting compartment could be moved to the back. The new arangement eliminated the problems with the earlier vehicle's tendency to be nose-heavy. 192 Grille Ms were built from April 1943 to September 1944. The adjusted cost is pre-WWII even though this variant was developed after the war started. I used _PzKpfw 38(t) in Action_ by Charles K. Kliment and Hilary L. Doyle as reference in designing this vehicle. The Grille M (v. 1.0) is a TL 6 vehicle [Mar. 96 errata sheet] with a new weapon and my armor sloping table. Infantry Gun (TL 6) An infantry gun is a short-barreled, lightweight, direct-fire howitzer. The 150mm IG is $40,000, 2,300 lbs., 60 cf, HT 100 and requires a crew of two. The ammunition is incompatible with that of the 155mm Howitzer's, but uses the same statistics. 150mm IG Malf Type Damage SS Acc 1/2D Max RoF Shots with HE crit. exp. 6dx25[11d] no 9 n/a 1 mi. 1/20 1 Structure: 350 cf extra-heavy standard body (HT 900), max load 31,500 lbs.
