Jagdpanzer 38(t) 'Hetzer' (Sd. Kfz. 138/2)

        While the Panzerjaegers had proven their effectiveness in battle, in
    1943 it was decided to completely redesign the concept to provide a lower
    profile and better crew protection.  While the basic structure of the
    Panzer 38(t) was retained, the exterior shape was completely redesigned,
    having no vertical surfaces.  The first ones were delivered in April 1944,
    and a total of 2,584 Hetzers were manufactured before the end of the war.
        The Hetzer was used by the Czechoslovak and Swiss armies well into the
    1960's.
        The 75mmL gun (crit|*|*|no|*|*|*|1/4|1) uses AP (cr.|6dx14|14|1 mi.|3
    mi.) and HE (exp.|6dx4[6d]|12|n/a|2 mi.) rounds and is in a forward
    casemate mount.  The MG42 machine gun (crit|cr|7d|20|12|1000|3900|20|50) is
    in a pintle mount on top of the vehicle and is controled from inside.

        The Hetzer (v. 1.0) is a TL 6 vehicle [Mar. 96 errata sheet] with a
    weapon from High Tech and my alternate sloping rules.

    Structure:  350 cf extra-heavy standard body (HT 900), max load 21,500 lbs.
        Tracked motive system with two tracks (DR 6, HT 450).  Sealed body, 70
        degree sloped front and back, 40 degree sloped right and left.
    Propulsion:  118 KW tracked drivetrain.
    Power:  118 KW gasoline engine (DR 5, HT 50), uses 3.54 gallons/hour. 49
        gallon self-sealing gasoline tank (DR 5, HT 25), endurance 13.84 hours.
    Crew:  4; driver, gunner, loader, commander/machine gunner.
    Accomodations:  4 cramped internal seats.
    Accessories:  Environmental control, tactical radio (+0 intercept, 15 mi.).
    Cargo:  40 cf cargo space, 1.61 cf access space.
    Weaponry:  75mm long gun (DR 5, HT 100) in a forward casemate mount with 41
        rounds.  MG42 machine gun ($400, 26 lbs., 3 cf, DR 5, HT 12) in a
        pintle mount with 1200 rounds.
    Armor:  414 points expensive armor.  F6/180, R6/60, L6/60, B6/60, T5/24,
        U5/30.
    Statistics:  Cost $144,304 (adjusted $28,861), design mass 30,181.5 lbs.,
        max payload 1,318.5 lbs., max cargo load 1,318.5 lbs., current payload

    Ground Performance:  Ground speed factor 12, top speed 21 mph, acceleration
