Panzerjaeger 38(t) Ausf. H/Marder III (Sd. Kfz. 138) Copyright (C) 1996 by James Lowry (jlowry@tfb.com). The long 75 millimeter gun was immediately adapted for use on the Panzer 38(t) chassis. Due to the great weight and unbalanced position, the armor was reduced to to that of the early models. 242 vehicles were manufactured on the Ausf. H model between November 1942 and September 1943 and 116 Marder IIIs were converted in 1943. The adjusted cost is pre-WWII even though the variant was developed after the war started. Its long 75mm gun (crit.|*|*|no|12|*|*|1/4|1) with AP (cr.|6dx14|1 mi.|3 mi.) and HEAT (sxp.|6dx2(10)|1.5 mi.|2 mi.) is mounted a forward casemate in the superstructure on top of the vehicle. The .30-cal machine gun is in a forward casemate mount. I used _PzKpfw 38(t) in Action_ by Charles K. Kliment and Hilary L. Doyle, _Panzerjaeger in Action_ by Uwe Feist and Mike Dario, and _Self- Propelled Anti-Tank and Anti-Aircraft Guns_ by Peter Chamberlain and John Milsom as references in designing this vehicle.
