CyberSWAT Tank v1.0 (TL 8) Copyright 1996 by Onno Meyer In the dark future, police SWAT - Special Weapons And Training - teams will have their hands full with increased threats, and the 'CyberSWAT Tank' is a special tool to deal with them. Against more serious criminals, the 'tank' has a first-generation laser (crit|imp|5d|18|20|2 mi.|4.5 mi.|4*|1 KWh) and a 20mm caseless autocannon (ver|cr|6d*4|13|15|1 mi.|3 mi.|8*|200) on independent 'cherry pickers'. It carries a special ECM/stealth suite against the sensors most likely found on the street. The armor of the 'tank' is comparable to modern APCs, strong enough to deal with anything short of a LAW. The crew gets information from a thermograph (9 miles nominal range), a ladar (15 miles), a sound detector (4 miles) and a pair of ALLTVs. The 'tank' is a TL08 vehicle [Mar. 96 errata sheet]. Structure: 500 cf expensive heavy body (HT 800), max. load 15t, seal, six powered puncture-resistant smartwheels (DR 4, HT 34/67) with improved off-road suspension and improved brakes.
