        The FOV is actually a Special Operations FAV.  The title reflects the
    military penchant of misleading equipment names. This vehicle was designed
    to meet the needs of a 3 man SpecOps team and is loosely based upon the
    current vehicle used by the Navy SEALS.  It is an stealthed version of the
    FAV with the addition of a external open seat manning the Hypercannon and
    increased power, both engine and firepower.
        It carries a 5.5mm Caseless MG [crit|cr|6d|15|13|1000|4500|16|200],
    40mm Auto EMGL [crit|sxp|HEAT 4d*2(10)|20|15|n/a|4000|4|20] and 25mm
    Hypercannon [crit|cr|APFSDSDU|6d*7(3)|no| 15|1.5mi|3 mi|1|10].  It is
    rumored that there are some electrothermal versions with CLGP rounds.  The
    Hypercannon & MG are accessible by a high mounted swiveling gunner's seat
    and the EMGL is mounted at the right seat.  They can be dismounted or
    positions switched.
        Passive countermeasures include a chameleon surface, improved IR
    cloaking, improved sound baffling (mostly acoustic materials at the engine
    and exhaust) and partial stealth.
        Uses 96JULY16 errata.  Open frame & Non-rigid armor adapted from GURPS
    Robots.  Spare tire per John Freiler.

    Structure:  120 cf expensive medium body (HT 225), max. load 4,800 lbs.,
        four powered smart wheels (DR 4, HT 15/29) with improved brakes,
        improved off road suspension and PR Tires.  Also has advanced controls
        and two spare tires (DR 4, HT 15/29).
    Propulsion:  90 kW wheeled drivetrain.
    Power: 90 kW turbocharged ceramic engine (DR 5, HT 15) with 12 gallons of
        diesel (self-sealing, DR 5, HT 10, Fire on 6) for 8 hrs 53 minutes of
        endurance.  200 kW rechargeable power cell (DR 5, HT 4).
    Accommodations:  Two cramped internal, one open seats.
    Crew Requirements:  Driver, gunner/sensor ops and upper gunner.
    Armor:  150 pts expensive open armor, F5/35 B4/15 R4/15 L4/15 T4/15 U6/55.
        Monocrys curtains and top PD 2 / DR 18 at locations F/B/R/L/T with
        usual monocrys ammo mods.  150 pts advanced armor fuel tank PD 5 / DR
        25 all sides.
    Cargo:  3.44 cf cargo space.
    Accessories:  Three crash webs, high security (skill 20) burglar alarm,
        chameleon surface (-3/-1 vision), two decoy dischargers (choose load),
        compact fire extinguisher,  improved IR cloaking, laser sensors, radar

    Weaponry:  40mm Auto EMGL on an forward autostabilized pintle mount (DR5,
        HT12) with 10 magazines of 20 rds each of HEAT.  5.5mm caseless machine
        gun with a total of 4 mags of 200 rds each on a upper rear facing
        autostabilized pintle mount (DR 5, HT 10).  25mm Hypercannon (DR5, HT
        12) upper forward autostabilized pintle mount with a 8 mags of 20 rds
        each of APFSDSDU ammo.
    Statistics:  Cost $479,804, design mass 2,722 lbs., max. payload 2,078 lbs.
        including cargo, current load 1,400 lbs., loaded mass 4,122 lbs., size
        modifier +2, radar signature -2, IR signature -3/-4, acoustic signature
        -1/-3 (second number operating with power cell).
