This gunship doesn't meet the dreams of early SF stories, but the tech just isn't there ... The gunship usually operates within the Earth-Moon-system, but one-way trips to Venus or Mars are possible (it just takes time). Sensors are thermographs (30 miles nominal range), ladars (45 miles), a MAD (6 miles), ALLTVs and recon cameras. The orbiter uses TL08 tech [Mar. 96 errata sheet] with the chemical rocket from Robots. Structure: 16,000 cf advanced medium body (HT 6,000), maximum load N/A, sealed body, two 10 cf full-traverse miniturrets (DR 100A). Propulsion: Four 30t chemical rockets (DR 5, HT 50) with 90,000 gallons rocket fuel (DR 5, HT 4,000, fire on 11) for 45 minutes with refueling probe and drogue (DR 5, HT 20).
