That is much easier than taking and holding "ground". It has 40 missiles (prog|24|exp|6d*4,000|400|4,000|1 min.|+2|1/8|40), a rainbow laser (ver|imp|6d*30|10|20|15 mi.|30 mi.|4|100 KWh), a 50mm railgun (ver|cr|6d*100(3)|10|16|3 mi.|10 mi.|1|500|20 KWh) and four missile defense guns (ver|cr|6d*3(3)|4|16|1 mi.|4.5 mi.|60|11,500|0.2 KWh). The sensors are 120-mile thermographs, 600-mile ladars, 12-mile MADs, 5,400-mile radars and recon cameras (all ranges nominal, MAD and thermograph have the best range in deep space). The ship has the full collection of sensor countermeasures, but even that has limited uses if cruising at max accel. While the ship is a TL10 vehicle [Dec. 93 errata sheet] with parts from Space, many TL9+ technologies are assumed to be unavailable. Structure: 30,000 cf advanced heavy body (HT 13,000), max. load N/A, seal, vertol lift, four 25 cf full-traverse miniturrets (DR 250A). Propulsion: Three 900t fusion rockets (DR 5, HT 1,000) with 120,000 gal. water (self-sealing, DR 5, HT 5,000) for 78 minutes and ten hyperdrive generators (DR 5, HT 125). Power: Two 30 MW large fusion plants (DR 5, HT 125) and a rechargeable 100 MWh power cell array (DR 5, HT 150). Excess power 58,700 KW. Accomodations: Five cramped quarters, no winodws. Armor: 5,000 points advanced ablative armor, F6/2,500A B6/500A R6/500A L6/500A T6/500A U6/500A. Cargo: None, but 71.6 cf access space could be used. Accessories: Heavy compartmentalization, 98 dischargers, compact fire extinguisher, G-seats, improved IR cloaking, four IR jammers (DR 3, HT 10, turret), laser sensors, three 5-person full lifesystems, four radar locators, heavy deceptive and heavy area jammers (jam 14, DR 3, HT 25, electronics), radiation shielding, radical stealth, two advanced XR thermographs (scan 27, DR 3, HT 20, electronics), two XR ladars with rangefinder (scan 30, DR 3, HT 60, electronics), two adv. LR MAD (scan 21, DR 3, HT 50, electronics), four air-search early-warning radars with rangefinder (scan 35/29, DR 3, HT 125, electronics), five HUDWAC, three optical genius microframe TCs (C7, DR 3, HT 10, electronics), airlock, four recon cameras (DR 3, HT 7, electronics), three optical mainframes (C7, DR 3, HT 30, electronics), six INS (DR 3, HT 6, electronics), 45 man-months of provisions, ten secure long-distance radios (DR 3, HT 4, electronics), four IFF, ten EM coms. Programs: Autonomous operation (C7, IQ 12), computer navigation, database (172.3 GB maps and recognition guides), datalink, sensor operation (C7, skill 20 or +9), 4*gunner (C6, skill 16 or +6), 2*gunner (C7, skill 17 or +7), tactical vehicle operation (C7, skill 19), 4*targeting (C6, +9), 2*targeting (C7, +10). Weaponry: Four autostabilized heavy gauss miniguns (DR 5, HT 25) with 11,500 darts each in universal turret mounts, an autostabilized 50mm railgun (DR 5, HT 150) with 500 APSSDU darts and an autostabilized heavy rainbow laser (DR 5, HT 150) in front cyberslave mounts, a XH missile launcher (DR 5, HT 75) with 40 micronuke HVGM. Statistics: Cost $240,000,000, design mass 895 tons, current load 5 tons, loaded mass 900 tons, size modifier +8, radar signature -4 (-18/-32 if jamming), IR signature +10 (+4 if coasting). Ground, Water and Air Performance: None. Space Performance: Acceleration 3 to 8.18 G, delta-V 219 km/s. Hyperdrive recharge time 92 minutes.
