        This research vessel does more than a cursory survey. With specialists
    of most academic disciplines and many specialized subcraft it can at least
    start to solve all mysteries of a world - a precondition for colonization.
        The cruiser has 80-mile thermographs, 600-mile xadars, 16-mile MADs,
    15-mile multiscanners, 800-mile radars, ALLTVs and cameras. It has a pair
    of 25,000 cf hangars with access to even bigger cargo bays. In the spirit
    of preaceful exploration, the ship is completely unarmed and without ECM,
    but the durasteel armor can resist non-military weaponry.
        The ship uses TL10 tech [Dec. 93 errata sheet] with parts from Space.
    
    Structure:  1,000,000 cf cheap medium body (HT 90,000), sealed.
    Propulsion:  Ten 100t reactionless thrusters (DR 5, HT 2,000 each) and four
        10,000 WTF warpdrives (DR 5, HT 6,500 each).
    Power:  Five 1 GW fusion plants (DR 5, HT 1,200 each) and a 150 MWh
        rechargeable power cell array (DR 5, HT 200). Excess power 938,530 KW.
    Accomodations:  500 roomy quarters, no significant windows.
    Crew Requirements:  About 200 crew, 300 scientists.
    Armor:  10,000 points standard armor, F6/5,000 B6/1,000 R6/1,000 L6/1,000
        T6/1,000 U6/1,000.
    Cargo:  150,000 cf cargo holds and 32,291.5 cf access space.
    Accessories:  Compact fire extinguisher, laser sensors, four 600-person
        full lifesystems, radiation shielding, four extreme-range thermographs
        (scan 26, DR 3, HT 20, electronics), two extreme-range xadars with
        rangefinder (scan 30, DR 3, HT 60, electronics), two long-range MADs
        (scan 20, DR 3, HT 50, electronics), two LR multiscanners (scan 20, DR
        3, HT 30, electronics), four very-long-range radars (scan 30, DR 3, HT
        40, electronics), four ALLTVs (+7), four 12-person airlocks, 12
        automeds (DR 5, HT 62, equipment), four recon cameras (DR 3, HT 7,
        electronics), four optical mainframes (C7, DR 3, HT 60, electronics),
        four entertainment complexes, two 25,000 cf hangars, four INS (DR 3, HT
        6, electronics), four GPS, 20 interface jacks, 2,500 man-years of
        provisions, 12 secure long-distance radios (DR 3, HT 4, electronics),
        four IFF, four sickbays (DR 5, HT 200, equipment), 10 EM coms, 10
        neutrino coms (DR 3, HT 3, electronics), eight workshops (two each, DR
        5, HT 200, equipment), 37 grav units, 400,000 gallons of water reaction
        mass (self-sealing, DR 5, HT 10,000). Programs: Database (2,061 GB maps
        and recognition guides), datalink, sensor operation (C7, skill 20 or
        +19), tactical vehicle operation (C7, skill 19).
