Copyright (c) 1995 by Onno Meyer Galactic Patrol Ship v1.0 (TL 11) This Patrol ship is build for the criminal investigation division. It can't deal with serious pirates or rescue an entire cruise liner, but the modified medium scoutship is just right for a few special agents. The ship has a stun beamer (ver|stun|HT-5|5|13|1,000|2,000|1|1 KWh) for riots and a N-PAWS (crit|imp|6d*20(2)|5|20|1.5 mi.|3 mi.|3|20 KWh) plus two gauss miniguns (ver|cr|8d(3)|4|15|1,000|3 mi.|100|40,000|0.1 KWh) as point defense. These weapons and a little stealth are typical scout gear and are carried openly. Sensors are 4.5-mile gravscanners, 32-mile thermographs, 240-mile xadars, a 20-mile multiscanner, a sond detector and ALLTVs. Notes: Security systems (UT9-13) should be individually installed since any standard configuration would risk being compromized. I assumed that the frame comes from a popular scoutship type (you can't tell them apart). I considered adding a grav unit and a passage tube, but I wanted the ship to be marginal at 2.5 G. The ship uses TL11 tech [Dec. 93 errata sheet] with the hyperdrive from Space. Structure: 8,000 cf standard medium body (HT 3,750), max. load 160 tons, very good streamlining, sealed body, four retractable skids (DR 60, HT 313), vertol lift system and advanced controls. Two 25 cf full-traverse miniturrets (DR 150). Propulsion: Four 80t reactionless thrusters (DR 5, HT 400) and two hyperdrive generators (DR 5, HT 75). Power: Two 18 MW fusion plants (DR 5, HT 100) and 20 MWh rechargeable power cells (DR 5, HT 40). Excess power 3,735 KW. Accomodations: Five standard quarters and two cramped cells, no windows. Crew Requirements: Pilot, copilot/gunner and engineer or computer control. Armor: 2,000 points exp. armor, F6/500 B6/300 R6/300 L6/300 T6/300 U6/300.
