[GURPS and GURPS Vehicles are trademarks of Steve Jackson Games. Traveller and MegaTraveller are Trademarks of the Game Designers Workshop, GDW.] IMPERIAL SCOUT This is a "100 ton" Imperial Scout Ship for my GURPS Traveller (see /pub/GURPSnet/worlds/traveller.txt). Basically it takes the stats for a Jump Drive (size weight and fuel) from MegaTraveller and plops it into a ship designed with GURPS Vehicles (the fuel and power for the jump drive are assumed to be completely independent from other systems). Stats for "grav plates" have also been taken from MegaTraveller. GURPS fusion drives are a lot more efficient and only need refueling every 200 years. Either... a) PC's will never have to worry about running out of manuever fuel or power (lifesupport needs to be regenerated, a GM should decided how much reserve a ship has past the minimum 1-2 weeks) and the ship has 5,750 cf extra space. b) Alternatively, a GM may simply use the Traveller rules for maneuver drive consumption (38,000 gallons, 5,750 cf will give 4 weeks). The ship uses TL11 except for computers (TL 8, to fit better with Traveller level of computing power) and Traveller stuff. I haven't armed it. To add armaments, you will need to add a turret or stick them in extra space, if any (or sacrifice the Air Raft or Cargo space). Structure: 49,750 cf advanced heavy body (body HT 16,000), max load 1,492 tons, good streamlining, sealed body, Compartimentalization, Vehicle Bay (Air Raft), 4 retractable skids (PD 4, DR 10, HT 1,778). Propulsion: Four 300 ton reactionless thrusters (DR 5, HT 500, 30 MW) with VTOL, Jump Drive with Fuel (107 or 145 Gallons, Liquid Hydrogen) Power: 141 MW fusion plant (DR 5, HT 400). Accomodations: 8 standard quarters. Armor: 300 points advanced armor (F,B,R,L,T,U all 6/50). Weaponry: None. Cargo: 1,485 cf. Accessories: Grav Plates (DR 5, HT 400), Grav Compensators (DR 3, HT 50), Full Life Support (DR 5, HT 100), Ladar Detector, Radar Locator, IR Dectector (Scan 16, DR 3, HT 16), Ladar (Scan 30, DR 3, HT 40), Radar (Scan 32, DR 3, HT 40), Densiometer (Scan 32, DR 3, HT 40), Neutrino Detector (DR 3, HT 50), Advanced Low-Light TV, Long Distance Radio (DR 3, HT 4), MicroComputer (Complex 4, DR 3, HT 12), Inertial Navigation (DR 3, HT 6), Fuel Scoops, Fuel Purification Plant (DR 5, HT 250, Air Raft (see Air.Raft.txt). Statistics: Cost $44,300,000, design mass 539 tons, max. payload 953 tons, max. cargo 45 tons, loaded mass 584 tons, size mod. +8, radar signature +8, IR signature +15, acoustic signature +6. Ground and Water Performance: None. Air Performance: Speed factor 60, top speed 600 mph, acceleration 20 mph/s, deceleration 10 mph/s, MR 2, SR 4, ceiling none. Space Performance: Acceleration 2 G, Jump 2 (2 Parsec per 1 week jump).
